Relaxing the Spring Tension:

Guide the Hose (19) completely back into the Hose Reel (A).
Loosen the 4 screws retaining the Locking Plate (24) and remove the screws.
Leave the Locking Plate (24) in position.
Next loosen the 4 screws holding the Tension Plate (3). When you are
removing the last screw push the Tension Plate (3) down against the Reel (A)
using your free hand.
Now hold the Locking Plate (24) and the Tension Plate (3) between both
hands and pull them slightly apart. Allow the plates to turn slowly, to release
the spring tension.

Tightening the Spring Tension:

Guide the Hose (19) completely back into the Reel (A).
Replace the Tension Plate (3) and rotate it no more than 2 or 3 turns
anticlockwise. The flat side of the Swivel (16) must be in a horizontal position
during this operation.
Hold the Tension Plate (3) in this position and fix it back in place with the
screws. Finally replace the Locking Plate (24) and screw it back into position.

Maintenance

Always close the water tap before starting any
maintenance work on the Hose Reel. Release any
pressure still in the Hose (19) by opening the Nozzle
(18G). Then remove the Coupling Hose (22) from the
water tap and release the spring.
