2.1 Important notes

Test Equipment". These instructions must be carefully
studied prior to start-up, connection and operation of
the BEA 055 and must always be heeded.

Product description

3.1

Intended use

The exhaust gas analyzer BEA 055 permits the user-
friendly performance of exhaust emissions tests on
gasoline vehicles.
The range of test specimens includes the entire spec-
trum of gasoline road vehicles on which emission mea-
surements have to be taken during workshop inspec-
tions, both to comply with legal requirements and for
the purposes of localizing and rectifying faults.
The BEA 055 can only be operated with the Bosch Emis-
sions Analysis software.
The BEA 055 is used in the BEA 950.

If the BEA 055 and the supplied accessories are
operated contrary to the way specified by the manu-
facturer in the operating instructions, the protection
provided by the BEA 055 and the supplied accesso-
ries may be compromised.
