network get their IP address automatically.

• Connect the print server to your network via the RJ45 jack.
• Connect the round, low-voltage plug from the wall plug transformer to the appropriate jack on
the print server.
• Put the plug-in power supply into a mains socket. The power LED on the print server lights up.
• Now switch your printer on.
Software Installation
www.conrad.com
• Install the software first, which is provided with your printer. This must be done on all comput-
ers which shall have access to the printer or MFP later on. Install the software for the print serv-
er only after that.
Version 11/09
• Insert the CD provided in the appropriate drive on your computer. If the installation program
°
does not appear automatically, start the program "Setup.exe" in the „Utility" directory of the CD.
In case of newer CD versions, the procedure may be different.
Follow the software instructions.
After the installation select „Yes, I want to con-
figure the MFP Server now", click on „Next",
see right figure.
• Now the MPF server should be searched and
found, see right figure.
For this, it may be required to set up the fire-
wall/antivirus software so that the software of
the multifunction USB printer server has
access to your network. Otherwise, the pro-
duction may not work!
• Following that, a window appears with the request for a user name and a password. Enter
„admin" as user name and „1234" as password (without quotation marks).
• After that, a manual IP address for the print server can also be assigned between the auto-
matic IP address assignment per DHCP (depending on your network).
• Follow all further requests for the wireless network.
• Now Windows needs to be restarted.
• A new symbol „MFP Manager" is now on the Windows desktop which can be used to connect
the printer to the PC.
• Click on „Connect" to connect the printer that is connected to the print server to the corre-
sponding PC.
The hardware recognition of Windows may appear too, follow all the instructions.
• Other computers can only access the printer if you click on „Disconnect" on the computer that
is currently connected to the printer. Alternatively, you can set a time in the lower row, accord-
ing to which the connection is disabled automatically and the printer released for other users.
Resetting the print server to factory settings
• Press and hold the „Reset" key for 10 seconds and release it afterwards.
• Now the factory settings of the print server are activated again.
Pay attention to assign an IP address only once in your network when setting the
IP address manually.
The subnet mask, however (e.g. 255.255.255.0) should be the same for every com-
puter.
