f) Connecting a computer
It is possible to connect the product to the computer in order to copy, erase or save Audio-fi les.
• Connect the product to USB-port in the computer using the USB-cable. When the product is
connected with a computer 'USB' appears on the display.
• The product is recognised by the computer as removable drive similar to a USB-Memory
stick. Insert SD-memory card in the SD-memory card slot (11), two removable drives appear
on the computer.
Never remove the SD-Memory card from the device, as long as USB-Connec-
tion exists. This can lead to data loss and malfunctions. Always disconnect the
product from the computer as drive before unplugging the USB-connection.
The product can be used for recording if it is connected to a computer.
• Press and hold the 'STOP' (14) Button until the product is switched on.
• Press and hold again the 'STOP' (14) Button to switch once again the product off. 'USB' ap-
pears on the display.
The power is supplied to the product via the USB-cable, if it is connected to a
computer.
g) General settings
The currently set quality of the Audio-recording , the status of the repeat function as well as the
status of the background lighting is displayed in the uppermost rows of the display.
There is the option to customise these settings individually.
• Press the 'MENU' button (16).
• 'MENU' appears on the uppermost row and a horizontal line above the menu points.
• You can interchange between the menu points using fast forward/reverse (19) buttons. The
currently selected menu point is displayed through the blinking of the horizontal line.
• Change the individual values in the selected menu point using the button for setting the vol-
ume (17).
• Press again the 'MENU' button (16) to exit the main menu.
