5. Warnings

Heed the following warnings, both before and during operation of the diving scooter.
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incor-
rect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions.
• Ensure that body parts, hair, swimwear, diving equipment and other loose objects are kept away from
the propellers.
• Long hair needs to be tied back. It is advisable to wear a bathing cap while the product is in operation.
• The diving scooter is not a fl oating device. All those using the diving scooter must be able to swim.
• Diving scooter users should familiarise themselves with local regulations and conditions before using
it. Where there are strong currents and high waves in particular, it is necessary to exercise caution.
• When using the diving scooter in deep waters, it is particularly important to ensure that the battery is
suffi ciently charged. Satisfy yourself that you can return to the surface or to the bank at all times, should
you need to. For your own safety, do not rely on the diving scooter alone.
• During operation, pay attention to other swimmers, divers, boats, buoys and dangerous objects around
you.
• Before and during use of the diving scooter, you may not consume any alcohol or medications.
• Users of the diving scooter must be over the age of 14 years. However, it is not recommended for use
by those under the age of 16.
• The diving scooter may not be used if it is damaged in any way. Do not expose the diving scooter to
direct sunlight for long periods of time. Allowing the device to heat up too much can cause the battery
to be damaged.
• Observe the relevant information on permissible depth for the device at all times (see the Technical
Data section for more about this).
• Only qualifi ed divers should use the diving scooter for diving.
• Remove the charger plug from the diving scooter during storage. This prevents the battery from self-
discharging.
• Remove the charger plug from the diving scooter during transport; e.g. on board fl ights.
• Ensure that the battery charger does not get wet.
