But first check, whether the transmission of the radio signal
is not interrupted. This may be caused by other appliances
operating with the same frequency, see chapter 10.
Please note that the synchronisation with the outdoor sensor
may take longer. The outdoor sensor does not appear immedi-
ately on the basis station (e.g. weather station WS555) after
inserting the batteries!
7. Installation
The outdoor sensor can be easily installed on a vertical surface with
the enclosed installation base.
Please observe:
Chose an installation site that is not immediately subjected
to direct precipitation, strong dust impact or direct sunlight.
A roof overhang, for example, is suitable for external instal-
lation.
Observe the following drawing for the installation. Screw the instal-
lation base onto a vertical surface with a matching screw (use a
matching dowel, if applicable).

• Leaking or damaged batteries/accumulators may lead to injuries
of the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves when chang-
ing them.
• Make sure that batteries/accumulators are not thrown into the fire
or short-circuited. Danger of explosion!
• Never dismantle batteries/accumulators!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. Danger of explosion!
• If you do not use the product for longer periods of time (e.g. in
case of storage), remove the inserted batteries/accumulators in
order to prevent damages caused by leaking batteries/accumula-
tors.

5. Setting the Address

You can set the outdoor sensor to 8 different addresses (1 ... 8).
This serves to operate up to 8 outdoor sensors with equal structure
at the same time (e.g. one in the basement, one in the greenhouse,
etc.).
The factory setting for the outdoor sensor is "1".
If you want to change the address (e.g. if you want to operate sever-
al sensors), proceed as follows:
• Remove the protective cap above the sensor casing (see chapter
6) and remove possibly inserted batteries.
• Afterwards, you need to remove three screws (A): two on the back
to the left and the right of the wall mount and one above the bat-
tery compartment. Take off the front of the casing.
