8 Replacing an Electronic Insert

If the electronic insert is to be replaced then the following procedure should be
carried out:
• Switch off all power supply to the electronic insert.
• Remove all electric connections to the electronic insert.
• Unscrew the mounting screw of the electronic insert.
• Remove the electronic insert from the probe housing.
• Check that the specifications on the electronic insert agree with the power supply
rating before inserting the electronic insert.
• Plug the new electronic insert into the slot in the housing.
• Screw down the mounting screw on the electronic insert securely.
• Connect cabling.
• Switch on the power supply.
• Carry out a reset and then recalibrate using the settings required
(see Section 5 and 6).
Cause
Power supply failure or is not
switched on
No calibration carried out.
Instrument does not operate as
limit switch.
Reset carried out = all
parameters set to factory
values. Instrument does not
operate as limit switch.
AC version:
relay de-energised.
DC version:
switching output blocked.
To minimise consumption LED
chain switches off approx. 10
min after last entry.
