8. Inbetriebnahme & Sender einstellen

a) Aufstellen

Montieren Sie die beiden Standfüße auf der Unterseite des Geräts, wie in Bild 2 gezeigt:
Wählen Sie den Aufstellungsort gemäß Kapitel 4.
b) Anschluss
Verbinden Sie den Antenneneingang über ein geeignetes Antennenkabel z.B. mit der TV-Antennenbuchse der Antennendose.
Stecken Sie den Netzstecker des Geräts in eine ordnungsgemäße Netzsteckdose (230V~/50Hz), schalten Sie das Gerät über den
Netzschalter (B) auf der Vorderseite ein.
Die Standby-LED (= Power-LED) (C) beginnt zu leuchten, das Gerät befindet sich jetzt im "Standby"-Modus.
Damit wird erreicht, dass sich das Gerät nach einem Netzspannungsausfall automatisch im "Standby"-Modus befindet
und nicht eingeschaltet ist (z.B. wenn Sie das Gerät nicht über den Netzschalter (B) ausgeschaltet haben).
Um das Gerät einzuschalten, gibt es drei Möglichkeiten:
• Drücken Sie die Taste " " der Fernbedienung (46)
• Drücken Sie die Taste " CH " oder " CH " auf der Frontseite des Geräts (D)
• Sie die Taste " CH " oder " CH " auf der Fernbedienung (13)

c) Sender einstellen mit automatischer Speicherung aller Sender

Taste "MENU" auf der Fernbedienung (32) oder dem Gerät (F) drücken
Mit den Tasten "VOL " bzw. "VOL " die Einstelloption "TUNE" auswählen
Tasten "CH " bzw. "CH " so oft drücken, bis "AUTO SEARCH" erscheint
Taste "VOL " drücken, um die automatische Senderspeicherung zu starten
Wenn die automatische Senderspeicherung abgeschlossen ist (alle verfügbaren Sender werden gesucht und nachein-
ander gespeichert, dies kann etwas dauern), so erscheint der erste abgespeicherte Sender.
Um die automatische Sendereinstellung abzubrechen, drücken Sie einfach nochmals die Taste "MENU" der Fernbedienung (32)
oder dem Gerät (F).

Please note that the time position 0:00:00 refers to the beginning of the respective chapter. The duration of the chap-
ter depends on the DVD! On the DVD cover a duration overview of individual chapters is possibly listed.
The search function is also available for normal audio CDs but only one special position of the current audio track can be skipped to.
s) Programming mode, "PROGRAM" (5) key
You can define the order of audio CDs and DVD titles/chapters being replayed.
Press the "PROGRAM" key of the remote control unit (5) and enter the order:
• For audio CDs enter the numbers of individual tracks (first select the tens column via the "+10" key, you should possibly press the
key several times; then enter the ones column by pressing 0-9 keys).
• For a DVD first enter the respective title and then the chapter number within the title. The same here, first enter the "+10" key to
select the tens column and then the numeral key 0-9.
If a title or chapter number is not available the entry will be not accepted.
Start replaying the programmed replay order by selecting the "START" via the arrow keys and then press the "ENTER" key of the
remote control (39).
The list will be automatically erased if the programming mode has been called again.
16. Connections
The TV-DVD combined set has many outputs and inputs:
a) Front
• AV-input, cinch jacks for the video input (I) and audio input (J)
To this input (3 cinch jacks) you can connect e.g. a video camera with an AV output or a digital camera with a video output. Switch
over to the input via the "AV/TV" key of the remote control unit (24).
• Earphone output 3.5 mm stereo jack bush (H)
Here you can connect an earphone. The replay via the integrated loudspeaker will be switched off automatically. You need an adap-
tor if your earphone has a connector of a different type.
b) Rear
• Scart jack (P)
Suitable devices (e.g. a video recorder) can be connected to this jack.
During the replay, it might be necessary to switch over to the scart connection via the "AV/TV" key of the remote control (24), the
change over can be possibly done automatically via the switching voltage.
• S-Video jack (T)
While replaying a DVD, a video signal is available here for a connection e.g. to another TV set.
• AV output, cinch jacks for the video output (T) and audio output (R, S)
While replaying a DVD, a video or stereo audio signal is available here for a connection e.g. to another TV set.
• 5.1-Digital output (coaxial), cinch jack (Q)
The 5.1 high-quality audio signal which is available on most DVDs (left in front, right in front, middle, left behind, right behind, sub-
woofer) can be passed on via this output e.g. to a suitable 5.1 amplifier or to a 5.1 loudspeaker set.
The output is activated only if replaying DVDs and not VCDs, SVDs, Audio or MP3-CDs.
• Antenna jack (O)
Connect this 75 ohms antenna jack to the antenna connection and in case of cable television e.g. to a wall socket.
