TROUBLESHOOTING

Use the inspections in the table below if the tool does not operate normally. If this does not remedy the problem, consult
your dealer or the Hitachi Authorized Service Center.
Symptom
Suction power is weak.
Does not function.
Charging lamp does not light
up.
Battery not fully charged.

Possible cause
Dust bag is not properly attached.
Dust bag is full of collected dust.
Dust bag is clogged with dust.
Filter becomes soiled.
Nozzle is clogged with dust.
There is no remaining battery.
There is no remaining battery.
The charger is not plugged into a
receptacle.
Charger plug is not properly connected to
the cleaner.
Switch is not on the proper position.
Charger cord is damaged.
Battery is heated just after use.
Battery is heated just after use.
Chemicals inside of battery are inactive
because the battery is new or unused for
a long time.
Battery life is ended.
Remedy
Attach the dust bag properly.
Remove dust.
Tap the dust bag to loosen dust or wash it
with water.
Tap the fi lter to loosen dust or wash it with
water.
Remove dust.
Recharge the battery.
Recharge the battery.
Plug the charger to a receptacle.
Connect the charger plug to the cleaner
securely.
Turn the switch to the nearest "0" (OFF)
position.
Immediately stop using
and consult your dealer or the Hitachi
Authorized Service Center.
Let the battery cool and then start
charging.
Let the battery cool and then start

Repeat charging and discharging 2 – 3
times.
Replace the battery with new one.
