Dear Customer,
Please read and com-
ply with these instruc-
tions prior to the initial
operation of your appliance. Retain
these operating instructions for fu-
ture reference or for subsequent
possessors.
Proper use
– Please use the battery-operated
DDC 50 exclusively for personal
use - for collecting drilling dust
while performing drilling opera-
tions on all common indoor
walls.
Environmental protection
The packaging material can
be recycled. Please do not
place the packaging into the
ordinary refuse for disposal, but ar-
range for the proper recycling.
Old appliances contain val-
uable materials that can be
recycled. Please arrange
for the proper recycling of
old appliances. Batteries and accu-
mulators contain substances that
must not enter the environment.
Please dispose of your old appli-
ances, batteries and accumulators
using appropriate collection sys-
tems.
Warranty
The terms of the guarantee that is
applicable in each country have
been published by our respective
national distributors. Any fault that
occurs with your appliance during
the guarantee period will be re-
paired free of charge, provided that
it has been caused by a material or
manufacturing defect. Guarantee
claims should be addressed to your
dealer or the nearest authorized
customer service depot, and sup-
ported by documentary evidence of
purchase.
Operations
Note: Please refer to page 4 for fig-
ures of the appliance and the oper-
ation.

The batteries have already been in-
serted in the factory.
Working with DDC 50
Note: When placed the DDC 50 on
the wall and turned on, it sticks in-
dependently. Allowing dust that
arises while drilling to be collected
in the dirt container.
To remove the appliance from the
wall, switch off the appliance and
press the ventilation button.

Mark the desired drilling hole po-
sition.

Remove the protective hood.

Insert the drill through the insert
opening and place it at the mark-
ing.

Place DDC 50 on the wall and
switch on the appliance. Press
too briefly see that the DDC 50
automatically retained to the sur-
face. Leaving the appliance
switched on during the drilling
process!
Note: If DDC 50 does not get at-
tached automatically:
1) are the batteries empty - then
please replace them.
2) does the wall have a very rough
surface - if so, then please call a
second person to hold the DDC 50
during drilling.

Hold the drilling machine with
both hands to carry out the drill-
ing process.

Remove the drill from DDC 50.
Switch off DDC 50 using the ap-
pliance switch and hold the ap-
pliance firmly.
Press the ventilation button to
remove.
Emptying DDC 50

Hold DDC 50, press the cover at
its locking tabs on both the sides
and remove it.
Empty the dirt container.
Replace the cover; to continue
working, repeat the above-men-
tioned steps.
Replacing the batteries
Please use 2 alkaline batteries of
the type 1.5 V, Mignon AA!
You can also use rechargeable
batteries.

If required, first remove the pro-
tective cover. Loosen the 3 lock-
ing tabs of the battery cover and
remove the cover.
Insert the batteries, pay atten-
tion to the polarity (+ and - mark-
ing at the base of the battery
compartment).
