The IP address of the gateway is not defined at the time of delivery; it is assigned to the gateway
by the Profinet I/O controller (PLC) in normal operation (data exchange mode). For this
purpose, a PROFINET device name must be defined for the gateway, via which it is addressed.
The PROFINET device name is also not defined at the time of delivery. The PROFINET device
name is assigned/changed
via the project planning software
via FTP by transmitting the "devname.txt" file or
via a script.
5.1
Specifications for the PROFINET device name
The PROFINET device name must comply with the following rules according to the PROFINET
specification:
The PROFINET device name may have a maximum of 240 characters.
The PROFINET device name comprises one or more parts of the name, each up to
63 characters long, separated by a dot.
The individual parts of the name may only consist of lower case letters, numbers and the
hyphen. The hyphen must not be the first or last character
of a part of a name.
The first part of the name must not start with "port-xyz" or "port-xyz-abcde";
a, b, c, d, e, as well as x, y, and z, represent single digits.
The PROFINET device name must not have the form "k.l.m.n", where k, l, m and n are digits
between 0 and 999.
Alternatively, the IP address can be assigned manually or via a DHCP server.
5.2
PROFINET command structure
Via a connected PROFINET client, queries can be made from each channel of the
REGARD 39xx regarding:
current status
alarm states A1 to A3 and
current gas concentration.
In addition, REGARD 39xx messages can be acknowledged.
If the configuration is done via GSDML file modules, make the following selection in the
"GSDML_v2.33.Draeger-regard39xx-20181029" file:
1 x "acknowledgement" output with 1 byte.
Acknowledgement takes place by sending an edge from 0 to 1.
16 x "channel information" input with 8 bytes each.
For the "channel information" transmitted on the inputs, the individual bytes are assigned
as follows:
Byte 1 contains status information, which is composed as follows:
- Bit 0 to bit 2: Status A1 to A3
- Bit 3 and 4: Status F2 and F2
- Bit 5: Maintenance
- Bit 6: Underrange
- Bit 7: Overrange
