Mount the flow transducers
4.5.1
Assembling the guiderail
►
Slide the guiderail through the slot on the top of the two transducers.
4.5.2
Adjusting the flow transducer separation
►
Using the separation distance displayed by the control unit, adjust the transducer separation accordingly. Fasten the
sensors to the correct position on the guiderail using the thumbscrews.
4.5.3
Applying gel pads
1.
Apply a gel pad centrally onto the base of each of the two flow sensors.
2.
Remove the gel pad covers.
3.
Ensure there are no air bubbles between each pad and sensor base.
4.5.4
Mounting the guiderail
►
Ensure that you have selected a suitable location and that the pipe is clean (see above).
►
Using the quick-release clamps provided, fasten the transducers to the pipe at an angle of 45°. Experience has shown
that the most consistently accurate results are achieved when the unit is mounted at this angle. This minimises the effect
of any flow turbulence resulting from entrained air along the top of the pipe and sludge at the bottom.
If the GF U1000 V2 WM/WHM does not detect a valid signal 'Sig:
00%' is shown.
!
In this case please make sure you followed the steps in section 8.1
l/min
and 8.5 Mount the flow transducers correctly.
