8.2 Important informations
before installing:
• The appliance must be disconnected
from the power supply during all
installation / assembly work.
• Clean the environment thoroughly
before and after installation so that
no dust or construction debris can be
sucked in during initial operation.
• Only install the unit in a suitable
location.
• Check the wall for load-bearing capa-
city.
• Check the routing of electrical and
other cables on and in the wall or cei-
ling so that they are not drilled into.
• Check the condition and load-bearing
capacity of the electrical cables.
The installation of the appliance by a
specialist is recommended.
When installing the cooker hood, strictly
observe the minimum distances bet-
ween the hotplate and the cooker hood
(see „Installation data") and follow the
description of the steps under „Ins-
talling the cooker hood" and all other
instructions.
The manufacturer is not responsible for
malfunctions, damage or injury resulting
from non-compliance with the installati-
on instructions, regulations and notes.
In the execution with air exhausted
outdoors, the vapours are extracted via
an air exhaust hose fixed to the connec-
tor ring.
An air outlet to the outside must be
provided for this purpose.
• The inner diameter of the exhaust air
hose must be 150mm and conform to
that of the connector ring.
• The exhaust air hose must not be led
through a shaft together with gas
pipes, hot air pipes etc.
• Route the exhaust hose as straight as
possible away from the hood.
The maximum permissible bend to the
outside is 120°.
Note on backflow flaps
To prevent air leakage during exhaust air
operation (i.e. backflow of outside air),
backflow flaps are pre-mounted on the
hood body.
After installing the exhaust air hose,
make sure that they can open and close
freely.
For recirculation operation or if there is
already a backflow device in the exhaust
air system of your kitchen, these should
be removed.
