Translation of original operating instructions
4.1.
Workplace safety
1.
Keep the work area clean and well lit. Untidy and unlit work areas can lead to accidents.
2.
Do not use the power tool in explosion-risk areas with flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools can generate
sparks that might ignite dust or fumes.
3.
Keep children and other persons away from the tool. When distracted you might lose control of the tool.
4.2.
Electric Safety
1.
The power tool's mains plug (PRCD) must fit into the socket. The mains plug must not be altered in any way. Do
not use adaptor plugs together with grounded power tools. Unaltered mains plugs and matching sockets
reduce the risk of an electric shock.
2.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces like pipes, heaters, ovens, and refrigerators. Body contact with
grounded surfaces increases the risk of electric shock.
3.
Keep power tools away from rain and moisture. Water infiltrating a power tool increases the risk of electric
shock.
4.
Do not use the power cord for carrying or suspending the tool or to pull the mains plug from the socket.
Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled power cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
5.
If you use a power tool outdoors, make sure to use extension cables suitable for outdoor use. The use of
extension cables suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
4.3.
Personal Safety
1.
Be attentive, work carefully and use the power tool reasonably. Do not use power tools when tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicine. Even a single moment of inattentiveness during the use of power
tools can lead to serious injuries.
2.
Always wear personal protective equipment and safety goggles. Wearing appropriate personal protective
equipment like dust respirators, safety boots with non-skid soles, safety helmets, or ear mufflers can reduce the risk
of injuries.
3.
Avoid unintentional operation. Make sure that the tool is switched off before connecting the tool to the
power supply and/or batteries, before picking up the tool or carrying the tool. Unintentionally touching the
ON/OFF switch or connecting the tool to the power supply while switched on can lead to accidents.
4.
Remove the setting tool or spanner before switching on the tool. Setting tools or spanners in moving parts can
lead to injuries.
5.
Avoid abnormal positions. Assume a stable position and always keep your balance. If unexpected situations
occur, this helps you keeping control of the power tool.
6.
Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose clothes or jeweler. Keep hair, clothes and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jeweler or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
7.
If connections for dust extraction and dust collection devices are provided, make sure that these are
appropriately connected and used. Using a dust extraction device can reduce dust risks.
4.4.
Use and treatment of the power tool
1.
Do not overload the power tool. Always use the kind of tool most appropriate for your work. Using the
appropriate tool supports better and safer work within the indicated performance range.
2.
Do not use power tools with damaged switches. Power tools that cannot be switched on and off are dangerous
and must be repaired by authorized qualified personnel.
3.
Pull the mains plug from the socket and/or remove the battery before adjusting tool settings, changing
accessories or putting the tool aside. These safety measures prevent an unintentional start of the power tool.
4.
Never store unused power tools within the reach of children. Do not let people use the tool that are not
acquainted with the tool or have not read the manual. Power tools can be dangerous if used by inexperienced
people.
5.
Always treat your power tools with care. Always make sure that moving parts work correctly without being
jammed and that no parts are broken or damaged in a way that affects the functionality of the power tool.
Before using the tool have damaged parts repaired by authorized qualified personnel. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power tools.
6.
Keep the cutting tools sharp and clean. Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp edges tend to jam less and
are easier to guide.
Always use power tools, accessories, insert bits etc. in accordance with this manual. Always take into account
the working conditions and the work to be executed. The use of power tools for work other than the designated
purposes can lead to dangerous situations.
Do not clean plastic parts with solvents. Solvents like gasoline, diluted benzene, tetrachlormethane, and alcohol might
damage plastic parts and lead to cracks. Never use such solvents for the cleaning of plastic parts. Clean plastic parts
with a cloth moistened with soapy water and carefully dry the parts.
Follow instruction for lubricating and changing accessories.
