Remove the padding liner and position the wedges provided to set the therapeutically necessary
pointed position in the footrest. One wedge segment is equivalent to an elevation of approx.
10 mm. Not all wedge segments must be used. For final positioning, the individual segments can be fixed
using the attached adhesive points. The wedge height can be adapted to the course of therapy. Finally,
position the padding liner back in the footrest.
2
Place your foot and lower leg in the Walker. Pay attention to good heel positioning, it should be
placed securely in the very back of the heel rest. The padding liner is then closed on the foot and in
the lower leg region using the Velcro dots, pay attention to it sitting crease-free.
Information for the technician:
Setting the foot length:
If required, the foot length can be adapted to the patient's circumstances by moving the front binding.
For this purpose, the front binding is raised and pulled upwards gently to disengage it. Following this, it
can be moved and be locked in the desired position by pressing it downwards gently.
3
Then, adapt the grey front cover by attaching it centrally to the padding liner again using Velcro. The
valve at the upper end should be freely accessible. If the valve is not freely accessible, pull the liner
towards the knee (upwards). For the optimum functioning of the X-Walker, the front cover in the foot and
lower leg region must be positioned between the padding liner and the brace rest so that both brace rests
overlap.
Information: Depending on the leg circumference, it may not be possible to let the brace rests overlap in
the calf region.
Close the four circumferential Velcro fasteners in the order specified below:
1. Start with the fastener on the ankle joint.
2. Close the fastener close to the ankle on the lower leg.
3. Close the strap in the metatarsus/toe region.
4. Finally, the lower leg fastener close to the knee.
If necessary, re-tighten again.
Information: The brace rest is designed flexibly in the calf area. If necessary, the circumference of the
calf can be adapted by setting the calf fastener on the reverse side of the brace rest.

Remove the valve cap and screw the vacuum pump provided onto the valve. Pay
attention to hand-tight fitting. In order to draw the air out of the liner and generate
the vacuum, now pump several times until the pump no longer jumps back. Remove the pump from the
