MOBILE MARTEN REPELLER TVT-1
Article No.: VAN000503
Please carefully read this manual in its entirety before installing and using the device. Keep this
manual for your records and as a reference. If you hand over this device to be used by another
person, be sure to include this user manual.
1. Purpose
Martens, rats, mice and cats are often found in sheltered areas to keep out of the
elements. The Mobile Marten Repeller chases unwanted critters away from areas
that you would like to protect from them. The device creates powerful sound
waves at periodic and changing intervals that disturb the animals and encourage
them to move to another area. The Marten Repeller TVT-1 is suitable for areas
without a regular power supply, such as in a shed, carport, in the basement, etc.
It is easy to mount and works for up to 8 months on one set of batteries.

2. Proper Use
The Mobile Marten Repeller TVT-1 is intended to be used to chase away martens,
rats, mice, cats, etc. in a harmless fashion. It operates only on two LR14 batteries
(Baby/C). Any other use is not in accordance with the intended purpose and leads
to exclusion of warranty and liability. This includes modifications and changes
to the device.
3. How It Works
The Marten Repeller TVT-1 creates sound waves at random intervals that act as a
Detterent for animals in the area, such as martens, rats, mice and cats.
While the device does not prevent the presence of the animals, it ensures that
they prefer other areas. Thus, they will avoid any areas within range of the sound
waves emitted by the device. How well the sound can travel depends on the en-
vironment and any obstacles in its path.
Important:
Animals react differently to the device, which is why we cannot guarantee that
the animals are chased away in every case.
However, a strategic placement (see section 7 in this manual) of the device usually
results in the animals leaving the area.
4. Operating and Safety Instructions
Do not leave packaging material lying around. Plastic foils/bags,
ƒ
polystyrene parts, etc. can become a hazardous toy to children.
The device is not a toy. Do not leave in an area accessible to children. Children
ƒ
may be disturbed by the sounds as they can hear higher frequencies more
easily than adults.
Avoid heavy mechanical stress such as pressure or vibration.
ƒ
Only use the device with the power supply listed in the technical data section.
ƒ
The noise emitted by the device can startle and/or disturb other persons
ƒ
and their pets. Children in particular have more sensitive hearing and can
be affected by the sound waves. When using the device, be considerate of
persons/other households that may be affected by the sounds.
We do not assume any liability for damages to property or personal injury
due to improper handling or for non-observance of the safety and operating
instructions. In such cases, all warranty claims expire.
We do not assume any liability for further damages.
Do not open the device, do not attempt any repairs and do not make any mo-
difications or changes – this will result in loss of warranty. We do not assume
any liability for further damages.

Baby/C) in the correct pole orientation (see above).
Close the battery compartment and test the device. After pressing the ON/
ƒ
OFF button for 2 s, the display should light up. If this is not the case, ensure
that the batteries are properly inserted.
Mount the device in the desired location, e.g. using cable ties. When moun-
ƒ
ting the device in machine rooms or near technical installations, attach it
securely with screws and away from rotating or hot parts. When positioning
the device, ensure that the sound waves emitted from the device are not
obstructed. Keep the area around the device speakers as clear as possible.
Turn the device on by pressing the ON/OFF button for 2 s. If you intend to
ƒ
install the device at a hard-to-reach location, turn it on before you mount it.
Make sure to wear hearing protection to protect your ears from the noise.
To turn the device off, simply press the button again for 2 s. The display
ƒ
flashes 5 times and then turns off.
When in use, the display lights up when the sound is emitted.

7. Practical Tips
You can increase the chances of successfully keeping the animals away by placing
the device in a strategic location. Ensure that the sound is not impeded by any
obstacles in front of the speakers. If the sound cannot travel properly, e.g. due
to a wall, a car battery, a closet or a support beam, it can weaken the deterring
effect of the device.
Several days or weeks may pass before you can see any results. If the device
does not appear to keep the animals away after 4 weeks, move it to a different
location, ideally where the sound waves travel better.
If you want to chase away a marten, thoroughly clean the area before you use the
device in order to eliminate any lingering animal scent. The animals are attracted
by their own smell and are thus more difficult to chase away when their scent
remains in the area. Before using the device in the engine compartment of your
car, have the compartment cleaned by a car mechanic to remove all animal scent.
The noise emitted by the device can disturb or affect other persons, particularly
children. You should therefore consider turning the device off when you are in
areas such as a parking lot. Before placing the device in areas frequented by
other persons, you should first consult the other residents.
The sound waves emitted by the device are audible to most pets, such as cats.
When mounting the device, make sure that pets residing nearby are not inad-
vertently chased away from an area where they are wanted.
