6) In the line "Sprache", select ENGLISCH.
7) Click the button "Sicherung" at the bottom of the menu.
8) The message "Speicherung erfolgreich" will appear. Click
"OK" to confirm the message.
9) Restart the recorder to display the menus in the language
selected and to start the "Startup Wizard":
a) Click "Schließung" at the top of the menu.
b) The window "Schließung" will appear. Click "Wieder
Starten": The recorder will be restarted and the menu
language will be English.
In the following text, all menus are shown in English.

6.2 Possible error messages after switch-on

According to the factory settings of the recorder, an alarm
signal will sound for 10 seconds when an error occurs.

6.2.1 No hard disk installed

Additionally, the message

for information on how to install a hard disk. First, shut down
the recorder properly:

1) Click to close the "Warning" window.
2) In the window "Startup Wizard", click "Cancel." The con-
firmation box "Are you sure you want to cancel Startup
Wizard?" will appear. Click "OK".
3) To show the toolbar (Fig. 6-2), press the right mouse but-
ton or move the mouse pointer to the centre of the lower
edge of the screen.
4) Click the symbol "Main Menu".
5) In the main menu, click the symbol
following information will appear:

The hard disk installed will be shown; the column "Free /
Total" will show the capacity available (here "0" because
the disk has not been formatted yet) and the total capacity.
3) Select the hard disk: In the column "Select", click the line
of the disk (see mouse pointer in Fig. 6-8).
4) Click the button "Format HDD". The window "Login"
will appear.
