Combustion chamber lining
Bullerjan stoves of the FF18 series are lined with
high-quality and fireproof vermiculite.
Due to this lining, the Free Flow achieves very
high efficiencies and burns with very low
emissions.
In the Free Flow FF18, vermiculite of the highest
quality and density is processed - nevertheless,
improper use and overheating can lead to rapid
wear, cracking and breakage.
Please therefore always place the wood
carefully in the firebox instead of throwing it
in.
In addition, please observe the maximum amount
of fuel per hour to be entered, corresponding to
the performance class of the Free Flow, to pre-
vent overheating.
In general, vermiculite is subject to a certain
amount of wear and tear even when used
properly. As soon as you notice cracks or breaks,
you should replace the defective material.
Burning in the paint
Bullerjan
stoves FF18 are coated with high-
®
quality, heat-resistant paint which only reaches its
completely solid stage the first time the stove is
used. There will be smoke formation and odour
when initially heating the stoves.
Therefore, when initially heating, open the doors
and windows.
Caution hot! During operation, the external
surface of the stove is very hot. No contact should
be made with the stove exept at the handles.
Please always use the glove supplied with your
stove.
The fire room door must always be kept colsed,
exept when igniting, when refilling or when
removing ashes.
Please note, that in the ignition phase soot may
condense on the viewing glass of the stove.
When burning solid fuels, which naturally create
soot, soiling can not be fully avoided.
Therefore soiling of the window does not
constitute a defect.
2.1.1 Firewood fire and permissible fuels
As a fuel, you should only use air-dried, natural
hard wood (e.g. beechwood) in the form of logs
with residual moisture of less than 15 %.
Important! Do not use any combustible liquids
like alcohol or gasoline when igniting.
Important! Never use treated or plastic-coated
wood, chipboards, saw dust, card board, paper,
coal, coke or flammable liquids such as alcohol,
gasoline or similar items!
Burning materials of this kind emit a lot of
hazardous, poisonous smokes and gases and
can also result in sustainable damage to the
Bullerjan
.
®
Important! The use of larger quantities of com-
bustible wood does not increase the heating
capacity to a major degree. Instead, the excess
energy escapes to the chimney. In addition, this
results in high hazardous emissions and in
extreme cases can damage the Bullerjan
and or individual parts.
