5.3 Battery compartment
The battery compartment built into the
sunshade slider tube is used to house the
battery pack.
This allows simple removal of the battery
pack for storage or recharging.
5.4 Battery pack
The battery pack is used to provide power to
the electrical motors and the control
electronics. It is fitted with rechargeable
batteries.
A total discharge protection device interrupts
the power supply if the battery voltage drops
below 10 volts. This prevents total discharge
and therefore damage to the batteries.
Charging takes place using the charging device
supplied with the sunshade.
The socket for the charging connection is
located on the bottom of the battery pack.
Checking the battery pack for charging level:
If you start to operate the remote control, a beep
tone will give you information about the charging
level of the battery pack.
one beep tone
two beep tones = battery pack discharged (see chapt. "charging the battery pack")
Caution:Injury hazard!
• Do not attempt to open used or damaged battery packs.
Note
Battery packs are hazardous waste!
Only dispose of used battery packs at a suitable waste disposal centre.
Note
Remove the battery pack if you are not using, transporting or storing the
sunshade.
The radio receiver in the sunshade is automatically switched on when the
battery pack is inserted.
