-2- Recovery using the harbour pumping system (ask the harbourmaster about the black water
recovery arrangements in the harbour):
- open the deck drain hole marked "waste",
- insert the pumping suction rod into the opening,
- continue suction until the tank is empty,
- close the drain hole at the end of the operation.
For reasons of hygiene, don't forget to get the state of the charcoal filter connected to the
black water tank vent checked annually.
Rinse the system each time after use: fill the bowl with seawater or freshwater and then empty
it.
Clean using the same products as used for domestic purposes.
The system must be drained if the boat is parked in sub-zero temperatures.
In order to respect the environment:
Never discharge the contents of the retention tanks when near the coast, use the pumping
systems in harbours or marinas to empty the retention tanks before leaving harbour.
Make sure that the WC bowl emptying valve is closed in order to prevent any inadvertent
discharge.
