UNIT MAINTENANCE

A. CLEANING THE MOVING PARTS OF THE CUTTING HEAD
After use, clean the oiled parts with a dry cloth. Use the brush provided to
clean up any residue left after clipping. Perform maintenance (see point
3.3.3) on the moving parts of the cutting head. Remove excess oil with a
dry cloth. This will prevent rust from forming on the cutting elements.
B. INSTALLING THE CUTTING HEAD KNIVES
A pair of cutting head knives consists of two parts, the comb plate (Y) and
the blades (X). When assembling, make sure that the correct surfaces are
adjacent to each other.
Before reseating the blades (X) and comb plate (Y), make sure the
components are completely free of debris. Even the slightest amount of
contamination can lead to malfunction of the unit.
