Initial use of the watch
Prior to initial use of the watch, you should wind the
watch by hand. This ensures a sufficient power reserve
for the watch to continue running precisely after the
exact setting of the second hand. Here is how you
wind your watch:

Turn the crown in the direction of 12 o'clock until it
releases from the winding stem/thread. The crown
is now in Position 1 , the winding position (also
see page 3).

Turn the freely rotating crown 25 to 30 times in the
direction of 6 o'clock.

Now the date and time can be set (also see
page 24).
