Using the timer/cooking time limit function
WARNING
Fire hazard!
If you use the cooking time limit func-
tion and leave foods unattended, they
may burn and catch fi re.
Make sure that children aged 8 years
■
or less do not have access to the glass
ceramic hob and food which is cook-
ing if unsupervised.
Cancelling the cooking time limit does
■
not end the cooking process itself.
You should therefore always switch
off the hob or the cooking zone if you
want to stop a cooking process.
Ensure that your food does not burn.
■
If you are cooking foods in oil, fat or
■
with alcohol, do not leave the glass
ceramic hob unattended. Food may
ignite of its own accord.
Cover the cookware with a lid imme-
■
diately if the food inside is burning!
Never attempt to extinguish burning
■
oil or fat with water!
Using the timer/cooking time limiter function,
you can
– control the cooking times of your food in a
targeted way. You can allocate each cook-
ing zone its own cooking time.
– use the appliance as a kitchen alarm clock.
Note: The longest cooking time which can be
pre-set is 99 minutes.
Using the timer/cooking time limit function
Limit the cooking time of
cooking zones
Set the cooking time limit for a
cooking zone
Example: You wish to cook pasta for 8 min-
utes on the 3 front right cooking zone at lev-
el4.
1. Position a filled saucepan on the front
right cooking zone 3and set the heat set-
ting for the cooking zone 3 as described
in the section 'switching on and setting up
the cooking zone'.
2. Touch the sensor 12 of the front right
cooking zone 3.
The sensor's LED begins to flash. A
small dot will appear under the LED.

3. Press the timer sensor 15.
The display of the timer sensor 15 chang-
es from __ to 10, and the '10' begins to
blink. The small dot to the right under-
neath the level indicator 4 also flashes.
