2 - CONNECTING THE VIDEO CAMERA
To connect the camera to your Thomson 512320, 512321, 512322 or 512323 video recorder, refer to the
manual for your video recorder.
Note: Your camera is POE compatible. If the recorder is as well, the use of the mains adaptor supplied is
optional.
Note: In this section, your camera should already be installed and connected. If this is not the case, please
refer to the previous chapters and to the instructions for your video recorder.
Features of the THOMSON outdoor varifocal 1080p camera
• Your additional camera provides an additional image source for your videosurveillance kit.
• It therefore provides additional and stronger protection and surveillance.
• The camera includes an infrared light, controlled by a twilight sensor, which emits
a ray of light that is invisible to the naked eye, providing an image on the screen regardless of the
brightness.
• The camera also features a manual zoom which allows you to adjust the field of vision and the area to
be monitored.

Solutions
Check the power supply to the
video camera.
Refer to the instructions for your
NVR to detect your camera.
The infra-red LEDs use a light
which is invisible to the human
eye. The lens of the video camera
is sensitive to this light source
and displays a black-and-white
image even in conditions of total
darkness.
