locks into place. Remove the protective cover from the blade unit. Make
sure that the blade unit does not touch any object. Ensure that the safe-
ty switch is not pressed. When using the hedge trimmer, hold the handle
firmly to operate the tool properly. The device is now ready for use.
To start the device, press the "safety switch" and "ON/OFF switch" of the
device at the same time. Both the buttons have to be pressed, otherwise
the device does not switch on.
CAUTION!
• Always switch off the device before inserting or removing
the battery. Hold the device firmly while doing so!
• Please do not cover the air vents or the intake opening!
• Always slide the battery onto the device until it clicks into
place. If the battery does not slide without any resistance on
the battery guide bar, then it is not properly aligned.
• Before inserting the new battery, allow the device to rest
for at least 15 minutes after using it continuously and dis-
charging the battery.
• Always grip the device firmly! Always ensure secure footing
when using the device!
