tool. Use the appropriate tools supplied with the products
for this.
The socket welding machine is designed exclusive-
ly for use with the heating spigots and sockets in‑
cluded in the technical description of the machine.
Important
The use of any other heating spigot or socket puts
the welding operation at risk of yielding a poor out‑
come and will in all cases dispense the manufacturer
from assuming any liability or responsibility for the
product.
The straight pipe will be placed into a pipe support with
an all‑purpose aligning clamp. Optionally, rails with all‑pur‑
pose pipe supports sliding along them are available (refer to
the drawing in Sect. 3.1) that allow to secure a longer pipe
left and right of the point of jointing as well.
If several branch‑offs are planned to be made next
to each other with the same pipe, with the addition‑
al movable pipe supports on the left and right, you

can dispense with unclamping and re‑clamping the
pipe several times. Rather, it is sufficient to loosen
the middle clamp, which cannot slide along the rail,
after each welding operation, and to reposition the
pipe remaining fastened in the outside clamps as a
whole, then to tighten the middle clamp
around the pipe again for the next weld‑
ing operation.
The clamps of the pipe supports for the straight
pipeline are compatible with all pipe diame‑
ters that can be worked using the machine. The
clamp of the clamping console, in which the 90
deg. branch‑off will be fastened, is designed as
a pair of individual clamps compatible with a
range of diameters. This range is imprinted at
the bottom of each clamp.
To fit the appropriate pair of clamps, slide the
hole in the bottom of each clamp over the pin
of the block on the threaded shaft of the clamp‑
ing console and turn the clamp gaps "around"
the hex key‑head screws of the block (see figure
on the right for reference). Then tighten both
screws.
To complete the preparation, connect the heating element
to the power supply and set the temperature required for
the welding operation at hand (see tables in Sect. 5.4 for
reference).

ments of the movable carriage of the basic chassis
