Trim the hedge to a trapezoidal shape cutting from the bottom to the top.
Round the top edges of the hedge.
Finally trim the bottom edges back.
Appropriately dispose of cut materials.

Maintenance and Cleaning

When cleaning or maintaining the hedge trimmer, first remove the battery
from the unit.
Always keep the ventilation slots clean and free from obstructions. If
necessary, clean the ventilation slots with a soft paint brush.
Oil the blade after cleaning and before using the hedge trimmer
again.
Remove dirt from the blades with a scrubbing brush or a small brush.
Do not clean the housing with sharp detergents or aggressive chemicals in
order not to damage the surfaces. Use only a lightly moistened cloth for
cleaning. Clean the ventilation slots with a soft brush.
Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, dust-free and frost-protected place.
Accessory
Preferably charge the battery before each use. When large areas are to be
cut, preferably order a battery in order to be able to work continuously. A
replacement battery can be ordered under the article no. 18 00 18.
A suitable replacement blade with 510 mm cutting length can be ordered
under the article no. 17 99 37.
Personnel Protective Equipment: A face-shield/Forest Safety Helmet can be
ordered under the article number 98 92 77.
