16. Using the alarm

The device features an alarm which can be used to wake you up in DAB, FM, USB or
Bluetooth mode.

16.1. Setting the alarm

 If you want to be woken up by the radio, first select a radio station („11. Radiobe-
trieb" auf Seite 44) and then turn the radio off by pressing
 In standby mode, press the A L A R M button to activate the display lighting:
 Press and hold down the A L A R M button until the alarm time flashes in the
display.
 Use  or  to set the hours and then press A L A R M to confirm.
 Use  or  to set the minutes and then press A L A R M to confirm.
 Use  or  to set the operating mode:
– DAB MODE – Alarm from DAB radio,
– FM MODE – Alarm from FM radio,
– AUX MODE – Alarm from an externally connected device,
– USB MODE – Alarm from a USB stick plugged in,
– BUZZER – Alarm by an alarm tone.
 Confirm the setting by pressing A L A R M .

16.2. Activating/deactivating the alarm

 In standby mode, press the A L A R M button to activate or deactivate the
alarm:
When the alarm is switched on, a bell symbol appears in the display. Even when the
alarm is switched off, previously set times and settings are retained.

16.3. Stopping the alarm

When the alarm sounds, you can stop it immediately by pressing the A L A R M
button

17. Cleaning

Before cleaning, pull the plug out of the mains socket. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean
the device. Do not use chemical solutions or cleaning agents because these may da-
mage the device's surface or the labels on it.
