Adjusting the bevel angle [F4]
The bevel locking lever (13) is used to lock the cutting
head at the required bevel angle, in the range from 0°
to 45°.
EN
1.
Release the bevel locking lever (13) and adjust the
cutting head to the required bevel angle.
2.
Tighten the bevel locking lever (13).
WARNING! Ensure the bevel locking
knob (13) is tight before making a cut.
If it is not secured, the cutting head
may move during operation and cause
serious personal injury.
SWITCHING ON / OFF [F5]
Switching on
To start the machine, press the lock-off button (3)
and pull the On / Off switch (2) and keep it pressed.
NOTE: for safety reasons, the On / Off switch (2)
cannot be locked; it must remain pressed during
the entire operation.
Switching off
To switch off the machine, release the On / Off
switch (2).
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Use a clamp to secure
your workpiece on one side of the
saw blade (6) only. The workpiece
must remain free on one side of the
saw blade (6) to prevent the saw blade
(6) from binding in workpiece. The
workpiece binding blade will cause
motor stalling and kickback.
WARNING! Ensure the miter locking
knob (19) is tight before making a cut.
Failure to do so may result in the
rotating miter table (11) moving during
operation and cause serious personal
injury.
Before turning the machine on, perform a test run
of the cutting operation to check everything is
correctly adjusted.
NOTE: before performing a cut, ensure the saw
blade (6) is at full speed. Failure to do this will cause
the saw blade (6) to become blunt and cause the
saw blade (6) lock.
Straight and miter cutting
A straight cut is made by cutting across the grain of
the workpiece. A 90° straight cut is made with the miter
angle indicator (10) set in the 0° position.
The horizontal miter angle can be set in the range from
45° (left side) to 45° (right side).
Bevel cutting
A bevel cut is made by cutting across the grain of wood
with the saw blade (6) angled to the rotating miter table
(11). The miter angle indicator (10) is set to 0° and the saw
blade (10) can be set at an angle between 0° and 45°.
Compound miter cutting
A compound miter cut involves using a miter angle and a
bevel angle at the same time. It is used to make picture
frames, cut mouldings, make boxes with sloping sides
and roof framing. Always test cut on a piece of scrap
wood before cutting into the final workpiece.
To make this type of cutting the miter table (11) must be
rotated to the correct angle and the saw arm must be
tilted to the correct bevel angle. Care should always be
taken when making compound miter setups due to the
interaction of the two angle settings.

Loosen the miter locking knob (19).
3.
To make a straight and miter cut [F6]:
Set the desired miter angle by rotating the miter
table (11) to the left or right, using the miter angle
indicator (10) to select the required miter angle.
When the desired miter angle is set, tighten the
miter locking knob (19).
Place the workpiece on the miter table (11) with one
edge securely against the rear fence (8). If the workpiece
is warped, ensure the convex side is against the rear
fence (8). Use a clamp to secure your workpiece.
3.
To make a bevel cut [F7]:
Rotate the miter table (11) until the 0° on the miter
angle indicator (10) and tighten the miter locking knob
(19).
