• If the device is a pure cooling device, the device operates in fan mode when the
room temperature is below 23 °C (73 °F) and in cooling mode when the room
temperature is above 23 °C (73 °F).
• If the device is a cooling and heating model, the device operates in heating mode
when the room temperature is below 20°C (68°F) and in fan mode when the room
temperature is between 20-23°C (68-73°F). The device operates in cooling mode
when the room temperature is above 73°F (23°C).
Setting the on timer
To save electricity during cooling and heating periods, the timer can be set to switch the
device on or off after a certain period of time.
• Switch the device on and set the desired mode and fan speed. Then switch the
device off again.
• Then press the TIMER button. The timer symbol and the hour display will flash in the
display. Press the TIMER button repeatedly to set the time (1-24 hours) after which
the device will automatically turn on.
• Then wait briefly until the time is saved. The TIMER symbol in the display is
permanently lit and the device switches to standby mode.
• To deactivate the timer, press the ON/OFF or TIMER button. The timer symbol
disappears from the display.
Setting the off timer
• Turn on the device and set the desired mode and fan speed.
• Then press the TIMER button. The timer symbol and the hour display will flash in the
display. Press the TIMER button repeatedly to set the time (1-24 hours) after which
the device will automatically turn off.
• Then wait briefly until the time is saved. The TIMER symbol in the display is
permanently lit and the display shows the current mode. When the set time has
expired, the device will switch off automatically.
• To deactivate the timer, press the ON/OFF or TIMER button. The timer symbol
disappears from the display.
