2. Receiving the product

2.1 Scope of delivery

The box contains the following for the building
bypass:
• 1 complete electronics box
• 1 bypass valve
• 2 thermowells
• 2 pressure transmitters
• 1 valve actuator
• 1 antenna
•

installation and operating instructions.

measure point:
• 1 complete electronics box
• 2 thermowells
• 2 pressure transmitters
• 1 antenna
• installation and operating instructions.

3. Installing the product

- The protective earth from sockets with
earth must be transferred to the
protective earth of the product.
Therefore, use plugs with the same
earth contact system as the socket or a
suitable system adapter.

- If national legislation requires a
Residual Current Device (RCD) or
equivalent in the electrical installation,
this must be type B or better due to the
nature of the constant DC leakage
current.

- Before starting any work on the product,
ensure that the district heating pipe has
been closed, cooled down and
depressurised.

- Ensure that the wires are fastened to
avoid fall injuries.

- The cables must not be in direct
physical contact with hot surfaces.
- Install the building bypass and building
measure point.

3.1 Installing the building bypass

- Ensure that the pressure and
temperature cables are connected
according to the marking on the cables.
Connect the building bypass according to the
following instructions and principle sketch, see fig. 1:
1. Turn off the district heating supply on the main
taps.
2. Wait for the pipes to cool.
3. Install the valve actuator in the pipes.
4. Adjust the valve for a suitable flow range. Refer
to the manual from the supplier.
5. Fasten the valve actuator and connect the valve
actuator cable.
6. Install pressure transmitters and thermowells in
the pipes.
7. Fit the pressure transmitter cables to the
pressure transmitters.
8. Insert the temperature sensors in the
thermowells and tighten them.
9. Remove the cover on the electronics box.
10. Install the electronics box in a suitable location
that allows the wires from the box to reach the
sensors and motor actuator. Use suitable
rawlplugs and screws.
