Two possible scenarios
WITH EXISTING ANCHOR POINT
EN795:2012 TYPE C
Figure. 1
When installing the lifeline, plan carefully for the clearance required under the user's feet: verify the
deflection of lifeline and add the elongation of the energy absorber and the measurement of the connection
elements.
Connect the two lifeline loops to the anchor points, taking care not to twist the straps. When the connection is made
correctly, pull the free end of the adjustable strap to tighten it inside the safety latch. Tighten the lifeline correctly by
pumping on the safety latch handle; use one hand only for this pumping operation to tighten the lifeline without
restricting the host structure too much. Check that the adjustable strap has gone round the safety latch axis 1.5 to 2
times, if not start again.
WARNING
The maximum deviated from the horizontal shall be not more than 15°.
The deflection of the anchor line will not bring it into contact with a sharp edge or any other article that may
cause damage to the anchor line.
The connector has to be new, free of burrs and comply to EN362.
Before the first use, make sure that the safety latch is locked in its blocked position.
