Set PROFIBUS address
The PROFIBUS address is set via the DIP switches 1 to 7 in the r.h. terminal space.
Setting is made as a binary digit.
Switch 8 (Hardware write protection) must be set to position OFF.
To accept the set address, a device reset must be released via a soft-
ware command (warm restart) or the device separated from the
PROFIBUS-PA for a short period of time.
Configuration of the PROFIBUS Master
Before communication is possible with a PROFIBUS field device it must be designed
in the PROFIBUS master. To do so, select for each of the four channels a text des-
cription (module identifier) of the data to be exchanged with the field device from the
GSD file of the field device. The module identifiers consist of a combination of possi-
ble user data variables, i. e. there are several variables that can be transferred via the
bus and the module identifiers represent a combination of those variables.
The following sections describe only two of five variables. Please refer
to the manual for more information about the variables and their combi-
nations.
The valve coupler FD0-VC-Ex4.PA supports among others the variables SP_D
(Setpoint_Discrete) and RB_D (Readback_Discrete). It is possible to transfer only
SP_D or SP_D and RB_D via the bus.
If only the variable SP_D is transferred there will be no feedback given
of the valve position and the states of the PFCs.
Subject to reasonable modifications due to technical advances.
