5.2 Installation and connection

•
Discard the complete packing material after unpacking the device.
•
Place the device on top of an even and safe surface which supports the weight of the
device and is not heat sensitive.
•
Not at any time should you place the device on an inflammable surface (such as: table
cloth, carpet, etc.).
•
You must not position the device near open fireplaces, electric ovens/arc furnaces,
furnaces/electric heaters or other heat sources.
•
Do not set up or use the device in moisten environments in order to avoid damages or
malfunctions.
•
The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the
device directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
•
Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly removed from
its socket in case of necessity.
•
Always connect the power cable to the device
first and then connect the power plug to the
socket. Make sure the power cable does not
become a tripping hazard.

Prior to first use

1. Press the locking button and lift the outer lid.
ATTENTION!
Do not dunk the outer pot into water or other liquids at any time!
Do not fill water into the outer pot at any time!
5. Dry accessories and the rice cooker with a soft cloth.
6. Connect the power lead to socket at the bottom of the device.

2. Remove all the accessories from the rice cooker and clean
them with warm water and a mild detergent.
3. Clean the removable inner lid with a mild detergent, rinse
and dry it thoroughly afterwards. Refit the inner lid to the lid.
4. Wipe off the outer pot inside and outside using a soft, damp
cloth, in order to remove dust accumulated during packing
and transportation.
