Cause
Defective Geberit electrofusion
sleeve coupling or defective
Geberit electrofusion tape for
anchor point.
Sleeve connection plug
removed during the welding
procedure.
Electrofusion machine is
overheating or operating at too
high an ambient temperature.
Operating at too low an
ambient temperature.
Fault current while welding,
e.g. as a result of moisture on
electrical connections.
Electrofusion machine is
defective.
Rectification
▶ Disconnect the mains plug.
▶ Visually inspect the contacts
on the sleeve connection
plugs and dry or clean them
if necessary.
▶ Use a new Geberit electro-
fusion sleeve coupling or a
new Geberit electrofusion
tape for anchor point.
▶ Disconnect the mains plug.
▶ Press the start button and
hold for three seconds.
▶ Repeat the welding
procedure with the cooled
Geberit electrofusion sleeve
coupling or the cooled
Geberit electrofusion tape
for anchor point.
▶ Let electrofusion machine
cool down until the trouble
indication goes out.
▶ Do not expose the electro-
fusion machine to direct
sunlight.
▶ Only operate the electro-
fusion machine in the
permitted temperature
range. For more
information, see chapter
"Technical data", page 21.
▶ Disconnect the mains plug.
▶ Keep electrofusion machine,
all cables as well as Geberit
electrofusion sleeve
coupling or Geberit electro-
fusion tape for anchor point
dry and clean.
▶ Send the electrofusion
machine to an authorised
repair shop. For addresses
of authorised repair shops,
contact your Geberit sales
company or visit
www.geberit.com.
