12.0 Diagnosis of faults and repair
Fault Cause
The motor fails to start
Oil supply not connected
Oil supply closed
No oil pressure
The pump is frozen
Working pressure too high Nozzle partly blocked
Working pressure too low Valve for regulation of water
capacity is not adjusted to max. of water. Turn in the direction
pressure
Regulating valve open
Irregular working pressure Air in the pump
During self-priming Suction height too high or water Read the paragraph conc. self-
too hot
Filter blocked
During direct water Insuffi cient water supply from
connection the water works
No working pressure Nozzle blocked
No water
High pressure hose/lance frozen Allow the high pressure hose/lance
By-pass valve frozen

Repair
Connect the oil hose
Open the valve
Start the hydraulic pump
Let the pump thaw
Clean the nozzle
Open fully the valve for regulation
indicated by the arrow
Close the regulating valve
Repeat the venting procedure
priming p. 6
Clean the fi lter. See p. 11
Change to a water supply with
greater output. If this is not
possible; turn the valve for regulation of
the water capacity in the opposite
direction of that indicated by the
arrow, until the machine works smooth ly.
Clean the nozzle
Check the water connection
to thaw
Allow the machine to thaw
