1 Safety Instructions
• Please read these safety and operating instructions before
putting the system into operation.
• Keep the operating instructions in a safe place for later use.
• Do not expose the cameras to rain or moisture, or try to operate
in wet areas. Take immediate action if the cameras become
wet. Turn the power off and refer servicing to qualified service
personnel. Moisture can damage the cameras.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the camera.
• Do not operate the cameras beyond their specified temperature,
humidityor power source ratings. Do not use the camera in an
extreme environment where high temperature or high humidity
exists. Use the camera under conditions where temperatures
are between 0°C to +40°C, and humiditiy is below 90%.
• As the camera contains an AGC circuit, the light sensitivity
automatically increases for dark scenes. This may cause the
picture to appear grainy but it is not a defect.

• If a very bright object (e.g. a spot) is shot, the picture on the
screen may have vertical lines (smear) or blurring at the edges
(blooming). This is especially the case in automatic shutter
mode (ESC). It is a characteristic of the CCD and is not a defect.
Cameras must never:
• be operated outside the range specified in the technical data as
this will damage the camera.
• be directed towards the sun with the iris open as this will damage
the sensor.
• Do not use strong or abrasive detergents when cleaning the
camera body. Use a dry cloth to clean the cameras when dirty.
In case the dirt is hard to remove, use a mild detergent and wipe
gently.
