4. TO REMOVE OR INSTALL BATTERY
PACK
Locate latches on side of battery pack and
depress both sides to release battery pack
from your saw. Remove battery pack from
your saw. After recharge insert the battery
pack into saw's battery port. A simple slip and
slight pressure will be sufficient.
5. ON/OFF SAFETY SWITCH
Your switch is in a locked off position to
prevent inadvertant starting. Press the lock-
off (A) followed by the on/off switch (B) and
release the lock-off button. To switch 'off' just
release the switch. The switch is a variable
speed trigger which can be used to increase
the speed of the saw blade. (See B)
6. BLADE FITTING
Pull the blade holder released lever, insert the
blade shank into the blade clamp through the
blade guard until it stops. Ensure the small
hole in the blade is on the pin in the clamp
then release the lever. Pull up on blade to
make sure that it is locked in.To remove a
blade, carry out these instructions in reverse
order.
WARNING: Blade teeth are very
sharp. For best cutting results ensure
you use a saw blade suited to the material and
cut quality you need. (See C)
It is possible to make cuts extremely
close to floors, walls and other difficult
areas. Insert the blade shank into
the blade clamp with the blade teeth
facing up (opposite to normal working
position). This will make cuts closer to
the work surface.
WARNING: Make sure the
pendulum setting is "0 " when
using the saw blade teeth facing up.
7. FOOTPLATE ADJUSTMENT
The footplate tilts in order to keep as much of
its surface in contact with the work surface. To
adjust, hold saw firmly and pivot footplate to
desired position. (See D)
8. PENDULUM ACTION CONTROL

angle of the blade for increased cutting
efficiency. This can also be adjusted during
no load running. Do not use excessive blade
force when cutting with the pendulum action.
(See E)
WARNING: Make sure the
pendulum setting is "0' when using
the saw blade teeth facing up.
9. PENDULUM SETTINGS
0 Thin materials, fine cuts, tight curves.
1 Hard materials (e.g. steel & chipboard).
2 Thick materials (e.g. wood) & plastics.
3 Fast cuts (e.g. softwood). Cutting in the
direction of the wood grain.
10.DISPOSAL OF AN EXHAUSTED
BATTERY PACK
To preserve natural resources, please
recycle or dispose of the battery pack
properly.This battery pack contains Ni-Mh
or Ni-Cd batteries. Consult your local waste
authority for information regarding available
recycling and/or disposal options. Discharge
your battery pack by operating your saw, then
remove the battery pack from the saw housing
and cover the battery pack connections with
heavy duty adhesive tape to prevent short
circuit and energy discharge. Do not attempt
to open or remove any of the components.
WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR
CORDLESS RECIP SAW
Always use a blade suited to the material and
material thickness to be cut.The quality of cut
will improve as the number of blade teeth
increase. Always ensure the work-piece is
firmly held or clamped to prevent movement.
Support large panels close to the cut line.
Any movement of the material may affect
the quality of the cut.The blade cuts on the
upward stroke and may chip the uppermost
surface or edges of your work piece when
cutting, ensure your uppermost surface is
a non-visible surface when your work is
finished.
