Due to the sensitive measuring input, the display may show a value
in case of „open" measuring leads. By pressing the REL key (8), the
display is set to „0".
- Now connect the two test prods (red = positive pole/black = negative pole) with
the object to be measured (condenser). After a short while the display shows the
capacity. Wait until the display has stabilised. With capacities of >40 µF, this
may take a few seconds.
- As soon as „OL" (overload) appears on the display, you have exceeded the mea-
suring range.
- After measuring, remove the measuring leads from the measuring object and
turn the measuring device off. Turn the rotary switch to „OFF".
g) Temperature measurement
- Plug the temperature measuring adapter included in the scope of delivery in the
two measuring sockets of the measuring device. Ensure the correct polarity. The
contact of the measuring adapter marked „+" must be plugged into the red V
socket (11).
- Plug the supplied wire temperature sensor into the measuring adapter. Ensure
the correct polarity. The contact of the temperature sensor marked „+" must be
plugged into the socket of the measuring adapter.
Any standard K-type temperature sensor with a mini-socket can be
used.
The wire temperature sensor included in the scope of delivery is suit-
able for temperature measurements from +40 to 250 °C.
- Turn the measuring device on at the rotary switch and select measuring range
TEMP.
- Select the „°C" (degrees centigrade) or „°F" (degrees Fahrenheit) units with the
MODE key (7).
- The measuring device displays the temperature - it can take approx.30 seconds
for the measuring value to stabilise.
