Risk of injury from sharp blades!
Grip the cutting discs by the plastic handle only.
Do not put fingers in the feed tube.
Use only the stopper when adding more ingredients.
Warning!
Blades may become blunt.
Use only the grating disc for hard cheese
(Parmesan), nuts, etc.
Cutting discs are not suitable for shredding/cutting
horseradish.
S Turn the required cutting and grating side to the
top and place on the disc carrier (the grating disc
only has one side).
S Attach lid (6a) and pusher (6b) and rotate as far as
possible in a clockwise direction.
S Add ingredients which are to be sliced or
shredded (6c).
S Set rotary switch (1) to desired setting (see
Recipes and Tips" booklet).
S When adding ingredients which are to be sliced or
shredded, apply only light pressure to the pusher.
S To add more ingredients, set the rotary switch to
0/off.
S Remove the pusher and add ingredients through
the feed tube.
Warning!
Empty the bowl before it becomes so full that
the the cutting or grating contents reach the
disc carrier.
Some models:
Masher (7h)
For mashing boiled fruit or vegetables.
S Attach the mashing sieve and mashing blade.
S Attach the retaining ring.
S Attach the lid (6a) and rotate as far as possible in
a clockwise direction.
S Select the desired setting with the rotary switch (1)
(see Recipes and Tips" booklet).
S Remove the pusher (6b) and add ingredients
through the feed tube (6c).
After using the appliance
S Set the rotary switch to 0/off.
S Rotate the lid (6a) in an anti clockwise direction
and remove.
S Remove the tool.
S Rotate the bowl (5) in an anti clockwise direction
and remove.
S Clean all parts; see Cleaning and servicing the
appliance".
Ensure that the lid groove is clean, otherwise the
lid can no longer be closed.
S After using the multi function blade and after
cleaning, attach the blade guard (10).

Some models:
Citrus press (7i)
presses the juice out of citrus fruits, e.g. oranges,
grapefruits, lemons.
S Attach the citrus press and rotate in a clockwise
direction. The lug on the filter basket must be lo
cated fully in the slot in the base unit.
S To extract juice from the fruit, set the rotary switch
to setting 1 and press the fruit on the pressing
cone.
S After using the citrus press, unscrew the citrus
press and remove the bowl.
Warning!
Check the level. Empty the bowl before the juice
reaches the filter basket.
Blender

Risk of injury from sharp blades/rotating
drive!
Never place fingers in the attached blender! Blender
will not operate until the lid has been screwed on
tight. Do not remove/attach the blender until the
drive is at a standstill.

Risk of scalding!
If processing hot liquids, steam escapes through the
funnel in the lid. Add a max. 0.5 litres/18 fl oz of hot
or frothing liquid.
Warning!
Blender may be damaged.
Do not process frozen ingredients.
Do not operate the blender empty.
Blending
Warning!
To operate the blender, attach and screw on the
blender lid (9a) and the bowl (5) and lid (6a). Take
the tools out of the bowl!
S Remove the blender drive cover (2).
S Attach the blender jug (8) (arrow on the jug on the
arrow on the appliance) and rotate as far as pos
sible in a clockwise direction.
S Add ingredients (see Recipes and Tips" booklet).
Maximum capacity of liquid = 1.5 litres/2¾ pt
(frothing or hot liquids = max. 0.5 litres/18 fl oz).
Optimum processing quantity of solid ingredients
= 150 g/5½ oz.
S Attach the lid (9a) and rotate in a clockwise
direction. Lid lug must be located fully in the slot
in the blender handle.
S Select desired setting with the rotary switch (1)
(see Recipes and Tips" booklet).
Adding more ingredients
S Set the rotary switch to 0/off (or as indicated in
the appropriate section).
S Remove the lid (9a) and add ingredients
or
S remove the funnel (9c) and gradually add solid
ingredients through the feed tube (9b)
or
S pour liquid through the funnel.
