Erasing USB interface firmware

Allgemeines
Soll die im DAC 8 DSD integrierte USB-Schnittstelle
upgedatet werden, so ist zuerst die schon installierte
Firmware zu löschen.
Löschvorgangs ist im Folgenden beschrieben.
ACHTUNG!
Lebensgefährliche Spannung im Geräteinneren.
Servicearbeiten am Gerät dürfen ausschließlich von
ausgebildeten, qualifizierten
ausgeführt werden.
Gerät öffnen

Entfernen Sie die vier Deckelschrauben.

Entfernen Sie anschließend den Deckel.
Reset durchführen

Schalten Sie den DAC 8 DSD ein.

Verbinden Sie Pin2 von J604 über einen 100
Ohm Widerstand
Kondensators C322 für ca. 1 Sekunde (siehe
Abb.1).

Schalten Sie den DAC 8 DSD anschließend aus
und erneut wieder ein.

Programmieren Sie jetzt die Firmware des
CPLD`s.

Verbinden Sie erneut Pin2 von J604 über einen
100 Ohm Widerstand mit dem Pluspol des
Kondensators C322 für ca. 1 Sekunde.

Schalten Sie den DAC 8 DSD anschließend aus
und erneut wieder ein.

Jetzt kann die Firmware für den Hauptprozessor
programmiert werden.
Programmieren

Die Programmierung erfolgt mit dem Amanero
Programmiertool.


Introduction
Before the firmware of the USB interface integrated in
the DAC 8 DSD can be updated, the installed
firmware must be erased first. The erasing procedure
is carried out as described in the following.
CAUTION!
Dangerous voltage inside the device.
Service work is only to be executed by qualified
personnel trained for the repair of electrical /
electronic appliances.
Open the device

Remove the four allen head screws of the top
cover.

Remove the top cover.
Reset the USB interface

Power on the DAC 8 DSD.

Connect Pin 2 of connector J604 using a 100
ohms resistor to the plus pole of the capacitor
C322 for about a second (see figure 1).

Power off the DAC 8 DSD and switch it on again.

The firmware of the CLPD can be programmed
now.

Next once more connect Pin 2 of connector J604
using a 100 ohms resistor to the plus pole of the
capacitor C322 for about a second (see figure 1).

Power off the DAC 8 DSD and switch it on again.

The firmware of the main processor can be
updated now.
