Place the control panel with heating element (3) by placing the small iron plate (marked above as A) just
outside of the cavity (marked above as B).
oPerAtion - Before use for the first time
Clean the barbecue grill and its accessories. When the barbecue is first switched on, the grill may emit a
new smell. A small amount of smoke may also be noticeable. We therefore recommend to heat the appliance
for approx. 5 minutes without any food. Ensure the room is well ventilated because of the bad smell of the
coating material. Do not use this appliance for grilling in the meantime.
oPerAtion - smokeless grilling
The barbecue grill is designed to use with water for smokeless and delicious grilling.
1. Take out the heating element.
2. Fill the base with water between the 'MIN'- and 'MAX'-indication. The water in the base will evaporate,
therefore it is necessary to refill the tray from time to time. Do not allow the water level to go below the
'MIN'-indication.
Be careful not to pour water on the heating element.
3. Place back the control panel with heating element.

4. Place the food stuffs to be grilled directly onto the grill rack. Do not use any dishes or aluminium foil.
5. Turn the on/off switch to activate the appliance.
6. The grilling times vary according to the nature of the food and to your personal taste.
7. When grilling has finished, turn the appliance off and disconnect the grill form the mains supply
socket.
cleAninG And MAintenAnce
Clean the appliance after each use. Allow the appliane to cool down before cleaning. Always make sure that
the plug has been removed from the mains supply socket after use, before cleaning and storing.
Remove the heating element. Replace the heating element after cleaning. Never switch the heating element
on when it is not placed correctly into the appliance. Never immerse the heating element in water or liquids.
Clean the heating element with a clean dry cloth only. Clean the grill rack and the tray with warm soapy water
and dry afterwards.
