4. USING YOUR COFFEEMAKER FOR
THE FIRST TIME
Unpack the coffeemaker and remove the
bag containing the accessories. Before
using for the first time, wash the filter-holder
(G), measurer (I) filters (J) and the steam
nozzle (E) with warm water and detergent
and rinse well. You should also run a pre-
wash cycle in the following way:

Filling the deposit
Remove the deposit (A) from its slot by
pulling up (fig. 1). Fill with cold water and
replace, ensuring that it is pushed down as
far as it will go and that the deposit lid fits
correctly(fig. 2).
Pre-wash
a. Plug the appliance into the mains
following the safety instructions.
b. Turn the on/off switch (O) on. The on/off
pilot light (N) and the "OK" pilot light (P)
will come on.
c. Turn the selector (M) to the
position (fig. 3). When water begins to
filter through (F), turn it back to "STOP".
d. Wait a few moments for the "OK" pilot
light to go off, indicating that the water
in the boiler has reached the correct
temperature.
e. Place a recipient under the water outlet
(F) and turn the selector to
again for about 10 to 15 seconds, letting
the water run through (fig. 4). Return
the selector to "STOP".
f. Place a recipient containing a small
amount of water under the steam outlet
(D) and when the "OK" pilot light goes
off, turn the selector to the
for a few seconds. Then return it to the
"STOP" position.
During this process you will hear the
noise of the pump sending water to the
boiler. This is completely normal.
g. For an effective pre-wash, repeat this
operation at least five or six times.
The machine is now ready for use.
Positioning the filter-holder
To correctly slot the filter-holder (G) into the
machine, place it under the boiler outlet (F)
and press upwards while simultaneously
turning to the right(fig, 5).
