VC MANUAL
3.2 PROTECTION CIRCUITRY
The power amp models VC 1200 and VC 2400 are
equipped with extensive protection circuitry to avoid
damage to the power amps and your other equipment.
- direct current protection
- overload protection
- delayed power-up
- power-up current reduction
- thermal protection (overheating)
3.3 AIR FILTER INSTALLATION
(see illustration below)
3.4 POWER CONSUMPTION
The VC models' average current consumption values are as
follows:
VC 1200: approx. 6 ampere
VC 2400: approx. 10 ampere
To ensure the VC models operate properly, these amounts
of current must be available to the amps. Especially when
you are operating several VC models simultaneously,
ensure adequate power is available.
FAN AIR FILTER INSTALLATION
In locations where high levels of dust
and smoke are present, the filter kit
when cleaned regularly will prevent
dust from entering the amplifier.
Apply 1 piece of foam as shown. Inspect
regularly as a clogged filter will cause the
amplifier to overheat. Replace or wash out
when it looks clogged.
(Extra pieces of foam have been included with this
product.)
3.5 RACK MOUNTING PROCEDURE
Please heed the following precautions when you install
your power amp in a 19" rack.
- To prevent the amp from being damaged during transport,
install the amp with the rear supports in addition to the
front panel mounting brackets.
- If possible, install the amp so it rests on the floor of the
rack for additional support.
- Ensure the amp is installed in a space with adequate air
circulation. Air vents on either side of the rack are ideal for
this purpose.
