III. INSTALLATION
Install all units as shown in Fig. 3, remove all parts from their
packaging and keep the packaging in case you need to trans-
port the product. After checking and ensuring that the ope-
rating voltage of the instrument matches the available mains
voltage, plug the power plug into the mains socket.
Depending on the delivery condition, some parts are already
pre-assembled.
For mounting the filter unit on the microscope stand or for
mounting the trinocular head on the filter unit, a 2 mm Allen
key is required.
A 1.5 mm Allen key is required to mount the reflected light
lamp housing (1). For power supply, this housing is connected
to the corresponding socket on the back.
IV. OPERATION
1. Transmitted light brightfield microscopy
1. Switch the microscope on with the power switch (6). To turn
on the transmitted light illuminator, set the selector switch
(7) to „I".
2. Place a specimen on the stage (10), turn the filter wheel (13)
to position „O" and the 10x objective (fig. 2, no. 1) to the
working position and focus on the specimen using the coar-
se and fine focus adjustment knobs (fig. 2, nos. 9 and 10).
3. For binocular observation (through both eyepieces (14)),
adjust the interpupillary distance and diopter.
4. Adjust the height position of the condenser (fig. 3, no.
7) using the condenser height adjustment knob (2), the
transmitted light brightness control (fig. 3, no. 14) and the
condenser aperture iris diaphragm (fig. 2, no. 4) to obtain
satisfactory illumination. If you are using the 4x objective,
swing the condenser auxiliary lens (Fig. 2, No. 5) into the
light path to obtain uniform illumination.

5. If you switch between two different lenses while observing,
adjust the fine adjustment knob (5).
6. When observing with the 100x objective, put some immer-
sion oil between the 100x objective and the cover glass and
between the condenser and the slide.
2. Reflected light fluorescence microscopy
The fluorescence incident light illumination consists of four
differently coloured LED lamps: green (G), blue (B), violet (V),
ultraviolet (UV).
Make sure that the radiation shield (12) is properly attached
to the microscope!
To make the observation more comfortable, it is advisable to
adjust and focus the PL - FL 40x objective on the specimen
before fluorescence observation. The exact focus can then be
adjusted during observation.
1. Turn the filter wheel (13) to the position corresponding to the
desired excitation radiation (G, B, V, or UV). The „0" position
should not be selected.
2. Turn the condenser down a little and push the black light
protection plate (fig. 4, no. 6) into the gap of the cross table.
3. Turn the wheel with the fluorescent LEDs (fig. 4, no. 9) to
the same excitation radiation that was previously selected
on the filter wheel.
4. Switch the microscope on with the power switch (6).
5. To switch on the reflected light illumination, set the selector
switch (7) to „II" (the dimmer is not active for the fluorescent
LEDs)
6. The matte filter (fig. 3, 10) can be used to increase the scat-
tering effect of the LED. However, this will darken the image.
