Press "Z/T" to cancel the weight shown. "0" and "TARE"
will appear on the display.
You may now add the food to be weighed to the container.
The weight shown will be the weight of the food added
after taring the scale.
You may repeat this procedure to weigh various ingredi-
ents with a single container.
After weighing various ingredients by pressing "Z/T" re-
peatedly, if you remove some ingredients from the bowl
or container, a negative weight (-) will appear on the dis-
play corresponding to the weight you have just re-
moved. You may then use the "Z/T" button to set the
weight reading to zero again.
If the scale does not show "0" or stabilise at "0" when
the scale is turned on, press "Z/T" to force the weight
reading to zero.
TURNING OFF THE SCALE
Automatically
If you turn on the scale and do not weigh anything for a
few seconds, the scale will go off automatically to save
the battery.
If you weigh something and then leave the scale without
adding or removing anything for a few seconds, it will
go off automatically.
Manually
You may also turn off the scale when you wish by press-
ing "ON/OFF".
Overloads
The maximum capacity is shown on the scale display. If
weight exceeds this capacity by more than 1%, the dis-
play will read "ERR".
BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO EXCEED THE SCALE'S
CAPACITY AS THIS COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO
THE SCALE.
Alarm timer ("T-SET")
Press ON/OFF to turn on the scale.
Press "T-SET" (Timer Set); the bell symbol will appear in
the upper right corner of the display.
Press " " or " " to set the required duration. Every
time you press " " or " " the duration shown will be in-
creased or decreased by 10 seconds.
Pres "T-SET" again to start the timer.

When the specified amount of time has passed, the dis-
play will show "00:00" and a "beep-beep" signal will
sound. The alarm signal will be repeated 30 times and
then stop.
You may stop the alarm signal by pressing "ON/OFF" to
turn off the scale.
If you press "T-SET" while the timer is running, the timer
will stop timing. It will be reset to zero.
Temperature indicator
The scale has a temperature indicator which comes on
when the scale is turned on. It measures room tempera-
ture and displays the current value in the upper right
corner of the display.
The sensor measures temperatures of 0 to 40 °C with a
precision of 0.5 °C
Tolerance is ± 2 °C.

Replace the battery when the display indicates "LO".
Remove the battery if you will not be using the scale for
a long time.
Clean the appliance with a soft damp cloth.
Make sure that no heavy objects are stored on top of
the scale when you put it away.
