4.� Start-up of BEA ��� in stand-alone
mode
The following description of installation of System-
Soft BEA-AU-OBD and the AU vehicle data, as well as
BEA 060 configuration, only apply to BEA 060 stand-
alone mode.

Installing SystemSoft BEA-AU-OBD

Heed the system prerequisites before starting
installation.

Only plug in the Bluetooth USB adapter when promp-
ted to do so during software installation.
1. Close all open applications.
2. Insert the "SystemSoft BEA-AU-OBD" CD in the
DVD drive.
3. Start "Windows Explorer".
4. Start 'D:\RBSETUP.EXE' (D = DVD drive letter).
 BEA set-up is started.
5. Confirm with <Continue>.
6. Heed and follow the instructions on the screen.

The Bluetooth driver is installed at the end of installa-
tion. During installation, the Bluetooth USB adapter
must be plugged in when prompted to do so.
7. Re-start the PC/Laptop to successfully conclude
installation.

Installing AU vehicle data

1. Close all open applications.
2. Insert the "CompacSoft AU" CD in the DVD drive.
3. Start "Windows Explorer".
4. Start 'D:\RBSETUP.EXE' (D = DVD drive letter).
 Set-up is started.
5. Select the set-up language and confirm with <OK>.
6. Heed and follow the instructions on the screen.

CompacSoft AU data are installed.

The CompacSoft AU (AU vehicle data or AU mo-
torcycle data) are provided with copy protection.
Checking for CompacSoft AU (1 687 000 985 or 1
687 005 052) is performed. The original CD must
be inserted in the PC/Laptop drive for this check.
Always keep the original CD to hand at the exhaust
gas analyzer.

4.�.� BEA ��� configuration
After installing the BEA software, the device interface
of the BEA 060 has to be set. The BEA 060 can be con-
nected by way of either the USB connecting cable or
Bluetooth to a PC/Laptop.
1. Select "Start >> All programs >> Bosch >>
Diagnostics >> Central Device Communication" or
click onto " " in the task bar with the left mouse key.
 CDC – Central Device Communication is opened.
2. Select "Settings >> Device interfaces".

Pressing <F1> opens the Online Help for a display of
the most important information on interface setting.
3. Configure the BEA 060 in the GAM Group
(USB or Bluetooth).
 BEA 060 is ready for operation.
4. Start SystemSoft BEA-PC.
