About This Product
3.1
Any body with a temperature above absolute zero (-273.15°C) emits at its surface an electromagnetic radiation
proportional to its intrinsic temperature. This radiation is called heat or thermal radiation.
A lens focuses the thermal radiation emitted by the target object on a infrared detector. Aperture stops limit the rays
in the IR temperature sensor so that a precise measuring spot on the object results. A spectral filter on the lens
blocks any interfering radiation. The infrared detector converts the arriving radiation into an electrical signal. This
signal is likewise proportional to the temperature of the target object and is used for processing in a digital signal
processor. In this way temperatures and temperature ranges can be monitored without contact and non-interacting.
