Both ports are covered with a protective rubber plug which must be removed before charging
and reinserted after charging.
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete and that all
accessories are included.
• Fully unwind the power cord.
• Clean the appliance as described under Cleaning and Care.
If any items are damaged or missing, contact your dealer or customer service.
Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and babies, therefore keep them away
to avoid suffocation.
Your rechargeable floor fan 81005 comes fully assembled and is equipped with a
chargeable battery pack!
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Place your fan on an even, dry and stable surface, close to a mains socket and well
away from heat sources and excessive moisture.
1. Make sure that the fan's speed control knob (Fig 3) is set to OFF before connecting the
charger to the battery box.
2. Remove the protective rubber plug from the charger port and insert the charger jack into
the charging port of the fan.
3. Insert the battery charger plug into a properly installed power socket. Once connected to
the power socket the charging process starts.
4. During the charging process, the charging indicator lights on top of the battery box will
show the charging status: 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%. Once the battery is fully charged,
all indicator lights will turn off.
A full charge of the battery approximately takes 2 to 3 hours.
The fan should only be charged indoors.
OPERATION
Once, the fan is fully charged, it can either run cordless on battery power or plugged in,
using the power adapter.
The appliance is not supposed to be used outdoor!
If you are using the fan with the mains adapter (battery charger), always connect
the charger jack first before inserting the power plug into an appropriate electrical outlet.
