Self-timer operation

When you want to include yourself in the picture:

•Self-timer operation will be
automatically canceled if not used for
more than approx. 3 minutes or the
camera is turned off.
•Placing the camera on a tripod is
recommended.

Compose the picture and
depress the shutter release
button all the way.
•The self-timer lamp blinks slowly for
7 sec., then quickly for 3 sec. before the
shutter is released.
•Self-timer operation is canceled after
shooting.
•To cancel self-timer operation, turn the
$ button.

Useful for shooting landscapes,
or distant scenes through glass

panel, then fully depress the
shutter release button.
•Flash is automatically canceled in this mode.
•This mode can be canceled after shooting.
•Since slow shutter speeds are selected when
taking dark subjects such as night scenes in
this mode, use a tripod to prevent camera
shake.
